topic: Re-Thinking Scripture: Authority, Imagination, and Contexting the Scriptures

What do we mean when we talk about the Authority of the Bible?
How can communities of Jesus' disciples develop a biblical imagination? Why should they?
How can people interact with the text in such a way that they begin to see "the text" actually becoming the text of their lives?
Where do people begin to see the themes, stories, and moments in the text actually show up in the world around them whether in their own lives of the lives of others?

These are a few of the questions we'll explore together on May 16 at 7:00pm.
